There's no need for a draft. And judging by the results of the last one I dont think there will be a majority availible to vote it through regardless.

I fully support this draft, as I am turning 28 this July the draft would not affect me... But, it will open up the job market getting rid of all the 18-26 year olds. Have fun in the desert all you young whippersnappers, I'll be enjoying my 401k plan.

I don't think there should be a need for the draft, however, I think a lot of people should find a way to serve. Even if it's in the reserves. The pay may not be that great, but hey, it's an extra few bucks in your pocket with a chance to pick up on skills that can help you later on. Spoken like a true recruiter...
I'm not quite there yet

I agree with the service requirement even if its not in the military. Hell require community service. Make everyone serve in soup kitchens and whatnot as a requirement to graduate high school or something.

Problem is so many people these days don't feel that they owe their country or local community anything. Which is sad.

I did this.

I had turkeys thrown back at me on Thanksgiving because they weren't big enough.

I'm done with my service.

The patrons of soup kitches should have to work in soup kitches before being served themselves.

Then they'd have job skills and not need to go to soup kitchens.

Wacky.
