DODEGBALL - My Review

The movie stars Vince Vaughn as local crappy gym owner Peter La Fleur and Ben Stiller as his successful rival White Goodman. Its basically your typical story where the local dregs need to raise money to save their gym or else the rich snob owner of the other gym will forclose on the mortgage and make it a parking lot for his upscale place. The only idea that they can come up with to raise the $50,000 is to enter a tournament. A dodgeball tournament.Kinda 80's in plotline actually. The ol " big competition to decide who is better" thing ala Better Off Dead or One Crazy Summer.

What the movie lacks in logic, it more than makes up for in comedy. Vince Vaughn and Ben Stiller really work off each other well. Much better comedy team, in my opinion than Stiller and Owen Wilson. Also in the movie is Rip Torn as washed-up dodgeball great Patches O'Houlihan. He gives some of the funniest one-liners in this movie. There are also cameo appearances by legendary actors we all grew up loving that I won't spoil for anyone.
