Quiet, you.

If there's any place that needs the wrecking ball taken to it, it's that toilet bowl you've got out there in Flushing. Only in the Mets' case, they shouldn't even bother building a new stadium to replace it.

Yankee Stadium is a fuckin dump, uncomfortable seating and obnoxious fans...turn it into a rubble heap. Move 'em to Philly so I can hate 'em more.

let the yankees pay for their own stadium, they can afford it.

if not, its bullshit to give them city money and not the mets.

Yankee stadium should be paid for by steinbrenner - it will provide next to no economic impact to the Bronx. Look at that area now - it never has improved and never will.

The Jets stadium, on the other hand, will provide the city with lots of new revenue and the approach being taken there is the correct one. A stadium has to be tied to other things, such as other events (i.e. conventions) and also be the center of a large-scale redevelopment (restaurants, shops, etc.) in order to have a great economic impact. Plus the Jets stadium can assist in the city's hope of hosting the Olympics, a super bowl, and the ncaa final four - which are all huge dollarwise.

wrong...

1. the plan is all about building up the area. even the council members and congressmen of the district are high on it...they are trying to ressurect that whole area..which is actually in Steinbrenners best interest b/c he wants that area hopping so that going there isn't such a trek into hell.

2. it is being funded privately
