NBA Lottery Thread

So what do you think about the lottery? Can they freeze a ping pong ball and give the Knicks Lebron, or will they keep it somewhat legit and only help them out with the 2nd or 3rd pick?

If the Knicks get Lebron, he would end up being a bust.

songs that made the hit parade,
guys like us we had it made,
those were the days,
and you know where you were then,
girls were girls and men were men,
mister we could use a man like Herbert Hoover again,
didn't need no welfare states
everybody pulled his weight,
gee our old Lasalle ran great,

I wouldn't mind the Knicks getting the 2nd or 3rd pick and getting my man Carmelo Anthony, but even that has very little chance of happening.

Just as long as Anthony isnt picked by Miami or Chicago. I could not deal with that.

Something I never understood was why have a lottery. It just seems stupid and unfair to me.

The other sports (baseball, football, & hockey) all do their drafts by how you finished the previous season. The worst teams get to pick first and it goes down the line from there. I don't understand why basketball doesn't do this as well.

If LeBron wins the Lottery, they should throw rocks at him.

Hockey has a lottery as well.

And they have a lottery so that teams don't tank games on purpose at the end of the season to secure the 1st pick. And also it adds interest. Theres nothing wrong with it.

if the knicks win the lottery Scott Layden is stupid enough & will probably trade the pick to a scrub team for their aging back up center/ power forward. If i were the knicks I would clear out all the cap space, just trade everyone and make a run at Kobe when he becomes available.

That was how Penguins wound up with Mario Lemieux, and not the Devils in pre-lottery hockey draft.

Well, if we could trade these guys, i'm sure we would've by now. Who the hell wants Shandon Anderson and Kurt Thomas at that kind of money they are making?

Oh, and if we ever get Kobe Bryant, I'd shoot myself in the head. I honestly don't know what the answer is to the Knicks' problems. Just gotta ride this one out i guess.
