Where should Jeff Van Gundy coach?
#1
It seems like Jeff Van Gundy is the hottest free agent coach in the league, and with good reason. He is one of the best coaches in the league right now. So, if you had to choose where he should go, where would you choose? Personally I think the best situation for him to coach is in Houston. Yao Ming and Steve Francis are incredible, and Van Gundy could help take that team to the next level. Now that Larry Brown stepped down, I would not rule Van Gundy out of coaching in Philly, but I wouldnt do that if I was him. Houston is a more promising place to coach.

However, if he stayed in the announcer's booth, i wouldnt mind either, because he makes watching the games on TNT a lot more enjoyable. The team of the Czar, Marv, and Van Gundy is a very good announcing crew.

I can't see him going to Philly and dealing with Iverson. Hell, he pretty much drove Larry Brown from a team that has a chance to win the conference every year. He'll probably go to Houston, since they're the only team with 2 young superstars and they're disciplined enough to actually listen to him.

Sounds like he has made up his mind between Washington and Houston. He has accepted the job as Rockets coach according to the AP, this works both ways. He goes on the team I wanted him to go on, so that he can be successful, and the Knicks get compensation for this.

Van Gundy will turn the rockets around in under 4 or 5 years. Once he instills in these guys the need for defense, wait a sec... I mean once he drills it into them, they will be really good. And it can't hurt you to have Yao in the middle.

What do the knicks get in compensation, draft picks?

Turn the team around??? This isn't Atlanta, this is the Rockets, the one that barely missed out on the playoffs in the ultracompetitive Western Conference. Having two superstars in place doesn't make it all that difficult either. I say 3 years until they're in the conf. finals.

CLUSTER do you really think that 2nd round pick is going to help them? The Knicks haven't been able to get shit out of a 1st rounder.
