Devils in 4 with a clean sweep....

Ducks are going to take this one....they have nothing to lose. NJ, on paper is the better team...and have home ice...but i have nagging feeling Ducks will take it.

This year's playoffs have been great to watch, exactly what the NHL needed. They have definitely outperformed the NBA Playoffs in terms of excitement and unpredictability. Game 6 of this series was great to watch, and Period 2 was one of the more exciting periods I've seen in a while.

Now, its Game 7, and anything can happen. I want the Ducks to win, but who knows what will happen. I'll pick the Ducks, even though the Devils are better on paper. Think of it this way: the Senators were better on paper than the Devils, and that Game 7 turned out to be one of the highest quality games played in the last 10 years. So, hopefully, this one will be very good as well, with the underdogs winning the Cup.

I am a huge hockey fan and play it regularly. With that said, there have been some specials on the History channel that has interested me more than this series.

songs that made the hit parade,
guys like us we had it made,
those were the days,
and you know where you were then,
girls were girls and men were men,
mister we could use a man like Herbert Hoover again,
didn't need no welfare states
everybody pulled his weight,
gee our old Lasalle ran great,
those were the days!</center>

Tonight showed why Devils fans have no class. You dont boo Jiggy for winning the MVP award for the playoffs. Granted, Marty has had 3 shutouts in the finals, that is an impressive feat, but he only had to face like 15 shots every time because the defense was that damn good. Jiggy made save after countless save in the previous rounds to get the Ducks to the Finals, against teams with numerous Hall of Famers on them.

Anyway, congrats to the Devils for winning, I can only hope that I see the Rangers win a Stanley Cup again in my lifetime.

Tonights game was so dull. it was Typical devils, score a goal then trap for two periods. ABC/ESPN is clueless. Why do u need Chris Berman and John saunders? They both do the same role. Hockey is John Saunders turf and why do u need JD and Bill Clement? just have one.

Normally as a Devils fan I might be offended by the no class comment, but I actually have to agree with you on this one. That was a total shit move on the fans' part last night. Jiggy played his heart out, well beyond his normal ability and he definitely deserved the Conn Smythe. At least the Devils players showed him his respect and applauded when he won.

Bottom line is this, Jiggy got his team to the finals, Brodeur didn't. Sure Brodeur had a terrific playoff run, but it was the whole team that got them there, not just one person. Do you think the Devils would be champs if not for people like Friesen and Langenbrunner? I seriously doubt it.
