If they re-sign with Infinity everyone would be like "oh, they were going to resign the whole time and just did it for the radio like Stern...those faggots." I personally believe the pushing it to the wire is real and that they really might not re-sign. If they DON'T resign and have to wait to go on the air. Howard will proclaim himself victor once again as he destroyed another competitor (same station, different timeslot but in the same genre=competitor). Some fans will lose interest and forget about them in the interval and some might be pissed with them for leaving. If they try and make them stay there then they fucking walk, stay off the air for 3 months, come back on a new station for a new comapany. ( I hope its that easy) Fuck lame Wnew and the assfucks telling them to stay were they are. It's in there best intrests to leave Infinity.

Anyway, I was in Vegas over the weekend and just got back tonight, and thus wasn't able to hear any of this weeks shows. From the posts here it seems I missed some good stuff, but oh well. Anyway, my 2 cents on the whole situation is this. It seems like until Howie is out of power, Opie and Anthony are never going to get a decent break at Infinity.. anyone else see the similarities to the whole situation in WCW before it collapsed and Vince McMahon bought it? Big, established (yet-over the hill or nearly-so) money-making acts, doing everything in their power to keep the younger, hipper more talented performers from sharing in the spotlight in a desperate attempt to hold onto their former glory. I think it is more on line with Syndication - the non-negotiable issues, so that here or elsewhere they will not be gagged. | ||||

That doesn't mean they signed but they could have extended negotiations and may not sign by today. On another note: don't you think the whole gag order thing could have been infinty scared about not re-signing Stern, but now that they have him they can reneg in hopes of keeping another show with them?
