Im not upset at all. They've gotten 13 of a possible 14 points in their last 7 games.

Now if they lose to Atlanta Tonight, then Ill start getting upset.

Make that 15 out of 16 points they have gotten in the last 8 games. This was a no brainer game. The rangers came out and took care of business. Lindros second goal was pretty, faked the goalie out big time. Now we face the avs. Roy has 3 shutouts in a row. Should be a great game....

Rangers are looking great now. Lindros is becoming the player he used to be. Richter is unbelievable again. Let's hope this continues.

I was quite happy with results of game vs Pens; Rangers had opportunity for let down after Isles & Flyers, and came away with a point; as FB pointed out, the Pens goal with 18 sec left matters not to us, although I was rooting for Blackburn to get his shutout. Remember also, Kovalev had just come off back to back hat tricks;

Gave vs Thrashers - rangers did what they needed to do vs a bad team. FLY line connecting on all cylinders.

2 other things:
1) Remember, Lindros question was health, not talent. So far so good.

2) Rangers have to decide before next game (I think) about whether to send Blackburn back to Juniors. Financially it is the thing to do, but IMHO he has nothing to prove in Minors, and he gives Richter needed rest. If Rangers send him back I'll be truly upset.

Easy game for the Blue Shirts against the shitty Thrashers. The Rangers are creeping away from the Isles now. Let's see if the Rangers can beat there previous win streak, 1 down.

I'm getting tired of saying how great the rangers played tonight.....no I'm not, I take every chance I have to say it. How great was it tonight watching Roy try to come out and get the puck 2 times only to have the rangers bury it in the net. Then watch him leave half way through the period. Did I hear 4 consecutive shutouts? No, because you got knocked the F out. First place in the the atlantic division, first place in the eastern conference, I know it's real early, but It feels great....

and the best part of knocking Roy out is that now he will probably come back and play tomorrow against the Islanders, which he wasnt scheduled to do. So Hopefully Roy can start a new shutout streak tomorrow.

Superb victory! I was glad to be there once again (along with my camera too, screw new "security procedures!")

I thank MSG security for streching the value of a $30 ticket. Somehow I managed to sneak down 3 rows ahead of the boards!

All in all, great victory. I was suprised the rangers could keep up with Colorado's western conference style of hockey.

You know, we need to have an oa.com NYR meet. You know go and meet up at some future game.

I hate Roy, I'm glad to see him get stunned after not letting in a goal for 3 games and then turning into shit vs the Rangers. The blue shirts are kicking ass. Lindros only had 1 pojnt but he is still a dangerous player. Let's go Rangers.

That game against the Avalanche the other night was so great to watch. Beating Roy like that after he had 3 straight shutouts was too damn impressive. Keep up the good work boys. This feels so good that they are in first place and those bastard Devils suck. Just gotta keep it all going.

It would be fun to gloat in the Devils fans faces, but they seem to be missing in action.

Check the History of this Sports Board and go back to like March-June. See how many Devil fans posted here and how many threads were devoted to them.

Now where are they?

And great to see the Avalanche play Aebischter against the Islanders tonight. Thats great. Can a team play their #1 Goalie against the Islanders at the Coliseum for a change? If Roy plays, no way the Islanders win tonight.

You mean they play hockey in NJ? :)

We must have tired out Roy; He didn't have it vs Isles either.

Team win was impressive especially because Kloucek sat out. Offense was on fire, defense held on. Now if we could only get the special teams going.

He must've been depressed after that loss to the Blue Shirts, he just quit Team Canada's Olympic Hockey Team, one less bump in the road for the USA :)

Umm He didnt play against the Islanders. And if he did the Avs would have won. But why would you figure he would play against the Islanders, #1 Goaltenders never play against the Islanders at the Coliseum.

That's what you get when you don't actually watch the Isles games, and only glance the morning paper :)

By the way, It looks like Knicks/Liberty/Rangers are building a new training complex in Greenburgh NY. Rye Playland was always an interesting place to watch them practice.

The Rangers play the Capitals today. Another under .500 team. The Rangers are unbeaten in regulation the last nine games (8-0-0-1) and hopefully will continue that streak vs. the Caps.

The officiating in Tonight's Game was an Absolute Joke. Terrible!! Ulanov gets speared to the midsection, no call. He retaliates with a jab with his glove on, which maybe could have been 2 minutes, maybe. And He gets a 5 Minute Major and a Game Misconduct???????!! What a fuckin joke. And that turned the game around right there. The Rangers were cruising 2-0. They got into a little trouble which was their own fault taking some penalties which got it to 2-1. But that 5 minute Major turned the game completely around.

Later in the game Lindros gets a penalty for Goaltender intereference, even though the whole entire game they were bumping Blackburn and no calls. Then Malakhov gets goated into a fight, and Malakhov gets the Instigator???????

On a scale of 1-10, Tonight's Officiating gets a -25.

Terribe! Im not saying that the Capitals wouldnt have won. But it would have been alot closer. That 5 minute Major turned the game completely around.

and Can Ron Lowe ease up on Blackburn a bit. I mean let the kid play against the Mighty Ducks at home and let Richter play tonight please. Its common sense. Throw in the fact Blackburn got killed by Washington last time. Its not a good matchup for him.

Anywayz, the Rangers need to let this one go and rebound and take care of the Ducks on Sunday and then get back on track and we will be back in 1st Place again.

You know, it really takes away from the game when you have to watch incompetant refs make ridiculous calls like they did last night. How is anyone supposed to win when you get calls like that? Time to bounce back, cause we know the Icelanders will have another long losing streak soon. :)

I wondered also about sending Blackburn up against Caps again.
He did look good (great for 1st 1/2 of game), but the Caps definitely were trying to get under his skin. He is fiesty, but when you are left to face 27 shots in a period, and have your team down a man so often - how is that supposed to be a confidence builder?

Was Kloucek still out? I wasn't sure if he was supposed to come back vs Caps or Ducks. Rangers need those solid defensemen. You can't keep giving up 40 shots a game.

Yes Kloucek was out. He didnt play against the Washington. Im not sure if he will play against Anaheim. It looks like Radek Dvorak will not play against Anaheim, lets hope his injury isnt anything serious.

I know I'm late but, what the hell. The other night against the crapitals, was just a bad bad bad game. It seems that the refs have it out for either kloucek or ulanov. Everytime these guys are involved in a contact situation, the refs blow it out of proportion. They seem to have big X's on them, sent down from the Main offices and that DEEK Colin Campbell.
Tonight is not looking good either, but it's early in the third. Let's go blueshirts....

Another game, another time that defense lapses, poor penalties, and bad special team play undermined the team.

I flipped around and seemingly missed something; with a little over a minute in the game, did Rangers seemingly put puck in net only to have it waved off? They were saying something about Lindros trying to get ref to look at the Garden vision replay.

They put it in, but the ref blew the whistle even though Shields did not have the puck covered. Just 1 of about 25,307 bad calls in this game.

I said after the Washington game, on a scale of 1-10, i give the reffing a -25. Well this game, I give them a -55. Just god damn awful. Some of it is the Rangers fault themselves, but they are just getting some ridiculous calls.

2nd Straight game that a mixture of bad decisions and Horrendous Officiating have led to Ranger losses. They just need to regroup and get things going.

Im not going to go into it right now, but Messier might want to start thinking about a retirement plan. He cant be out there in critical situations.

This weekend wasn't good at all for the Rangers. I didn't watch the Caps game but I watched the Ducks game. The Rangers played good defensively for once. Only 15 shots, but Richter wasn't on his game tongiht. Hopefully next game the Rangers can come back and get a win.
