I think now would be a good time to take a quick second to recognize the hard work that the rescue crews from all over the tri-state area are contributing. I know we have many members who are members of local PD's, FD's, or EMT units. We owe them more gratitude and recognition than we could ever give them.

Thank you Keith, Al, and the rest of the workers dedicating their times & lives.

every day, these brave men anf women put their lives on the line for us.most days they come home fine, or maybe with a small injury or two.saddly, FAR too many of them couldnt go home last night.i have a freind who'se dad is the local chief of police, my spanish teacher's husband is a state trooper, and a few friends are volunteer firemen.all of them would gladdly give their lives to save those of many others.my heart goes out to the familys of those who the building fell on

Latest 291 Firefighters missing

(Sorry don't have numbers for the Police and other emergency personnel)

Whole companies that raced to save people and the first to arrive are missing. I watched an interview with a FDNY Battalion Chief who tried to hold back tears stating that he is missing about 100 men under his command.

I don't know how much longer I can keep watching this. STAY STRONG AND HANG ON, WE'LL GET YOU

One of the proudest moments of my life was walking off the Staten Island ferry, and hearing applause from the people at the terminal.

I just hope this reminds certain folks about the important roles the government plays in your daily life.

BTW, can I have one of those nifty USAs under my name?
