Now that Ferral (sp?) is on in the morning there is a funny show show that I could listen to that doesn't involve an annoying voice, wacky DJs or annoying pop music. #4-This is not about Stern "inventing radio". Yes, but O&A have done the same thing they have pushed the whole genre further than Stern has ever done. As far as syndication goes Stern being syndicated may have helped O&A, but syndication has been around much longer mthen Stern has been alive. As for everlasting "stern clone" debate, anyone who listens to any talk radio show and believes EVERYTHING that he (or she?) says is a total idiot. Stern has pulled fast ones on his listeners before and because there's no one to challenge him on it, he continues to pull the wool over his listeners eyes and lead them like zombies. The same goes for O&A. I like them and I agree with some of the opinions they have, but I'm not a friggin follower. Stern doesn't suck half as much as his idiot zombie fans. But still the BO show gave me time to watch the second half of JFK (thanks Norton). And any contract that forces you to keep quiet and have to speak nicey nice about every show, no matter how bad, on your station is fucking bullshit. there's no room for opinions anymore, just corporate bullshit man. | Hanger-On Registered: Mar. 02 | Hi. I hate my first post to be confrontational, but I'm kinda conflicted. I used to listen to D&M when I was in high school (about 10 years ago) when they first were syndicated. Back then, they were a lot more edgy, and got a lot more shit past the censors (who have become UNBELIEVABLE nazis). I moved away after HS, and didn't get D&M for the past 5 years or so. When O&A came to Philly, they really reminded me of what D&M did back in the day. After hearing D&M for the first couple times in quite a while, I caught glimmers of their old form, but the show has definitely changed. Anyway, I still have a soft spot for D&M, and I wish the O&A fans wouldn't give them so much shit in here. If you don't like 'em, that's cool...just do something else from 11-3. Not everyone (or nobody) can do what O&A do, as well as O&A do it. D&M are going for something a little different nowadays. Just let it go...I hope O&A let it go, and then everyone else follows their lead. OK, I'm an ass for writing a goddamn book. Let the flaming begin. | ||||
