He's why I listen to the show. But before his tirade today, I always thought his and Opie's little "I'm disgruntled so let me hint at metioning Howard's name" rants were childish and cowardly. It's about time they grew some ballies and started puttin the heat on the management. If they get fired, who cares? They will get picked up somewhere. If they want to acheive radio greatness they have to dictate their own rules. Fuck the bosses. Fuck Stern. Attica! Attica! Attica! That's...That's what I think. | Psychopath Registered: Mar. 02 | Actually, O&A have metioned him by name in the past, but kept getting dumped out of for it, as per Stern's bitching about it. Anthony finally figured out that after 8 seconds of dump were up that the station would be forced to either let dead air out ( a HUGE radio no-no!!), or let the sound from the studio through. Since they weren't actually cursing, it got through. | ||||

A few years back, O&A and Don and Mike went at it and recently they apparently squashed their beef. Now Opie's mad as D&M for some strange reason and I have no idea what it really is. I knew that from the first fifteen minutes I heard them and that’s why I go to MMR from 11 to 3. Who ever made the decision to bring the mid-day idiots to Philly made a big mistake. One more thing, those mid-day idiots better watch out, you don’t fuck with a scorned city of Philadelphia. Just ask Kobe Bryant. O&A, you guys rock!!!! Norton is a sick fuck!!! | ||||

I’m not sure if this post belongs in this thread of General Discussion or if this subject was touched on yet, I’m not a veteran on this message board, and I didn’t want to fire off any NASA Space Shuttles trying to navigate the site (that old gag), but I have a little speculation (not speculation???) of why Anthony was ranting so heavily with his “Howard Stern, Howard Stern, Howard Stern, Howard Stern, Howard Stern, Howard Stern, Stern, Stern, Stern, Stern, Howard, Howard, Howard, Howard…etc.†more than he was on Don & Mike yesterday afternoon. (this is when radio is great) I was listening to The Stern show yesterday morning, and he brought up something in passing. I will paraphrase what he said, it was about “The Job†the hit ABC show, co-starring Ant’s pal Adam Ferrara. He said something like the following: quote: That’s all he brought up on the subject, that’s all he mentioned of it. I don’t know Howard’s feelings toward Denis Leary or ABC, (I’m sure he has animosity towards them for some reason)and The Job is a great fuckin show, but I think the real reason he is bitter and feels its “so dumb†is this. Just this week, Comedy Central has been airing “The Job†at 11:30 PM. And what show is it up against right up the dial? The Howard Stern show on E!, that’s what. Now of course this will piss Stern off, and if it pisses him off, it pisses CBS management off (most likely cause Stern whines to them about it, it’s 4 fuckin’ days, pussy). Is this starting to come together here? Now I’m fully aware about the problems with Don & Mike internally at the station, but why was Ant’s rant (wordy gurdy) so focused on Stern and not D&M then (I’m also aware that he was dumped quite a bit, but still, the Stern to D&M ratio was a bit overwhelming, and very clear). I believe it may have had something to do with them being once again gagged by Stern and management to not mention “The Job†airing on Comedy Central, because that would be a conflict of interest, and in turn, that would mean Opie & Anthony could also not have Adam or others from “The Job†on this week to have fun and plug it, which I’m sure they would have liked to do for their Pal (who give them the greatest national exposure week after week, BTW). I know that the E! show and CBS are 2 different entities altogether, but in the long run, if it upsets Stern, it usually upsets the rest of the company, and this is something I think may have also stirred the pot this week, and may be another thing the guys may have been gagged over this week, and riled up Ant a bit more on the Stern tip than the Philly problem. I get a feeling speculation isn’t one of everyone’s favorite subject on this board, but has anyone considered this scenario at all? It just struck my curiosity. Were they re-gagged (I know about the previous Stern gag, that was lifted, then re-gagged, and Ant is still heated about that, I’m sure) by Stern once again for this particular subject? Or is all of that Stern heat Ant had from only the previous problem? (These guys have been gagged more times than a San Francisco fagget) P.S.: I’d rather watch a recent rerun of “The Job†then and old repeat episode of Stern’s E! show, which is just re-hashed crap from his now boring radio show. P.P.S. Maybe ABC can get more than just David Letterman from CBS (that's more coal, BTW) P.P.P.S: Sorry one of my first posts is so F’n long. GOD, I STINK!!!! | ||||

NYPD blue has been on for god knows how many seasons and I haven't heard that it was getting honored in the museum of television and radio. I know what you're getting at though; you think that Stern is attacking The Job because it's afilliated with O&A. I don't think that's the case. "You don't know who I am? Fool! I heard Stern mention that article about the Job, and the first thing I thought of was that he was slamming the show because of it's affiliation with O&A. I don't think it's much of a stretch - after all, O&A promote it every week, Adam is good friends with Ant (as we all know), and the WOW sticker is prominently displayed.
