You are the Yoda of the message board! ;) Do us NYer's really care about syndication, besides the more Mainstream guests, how do we benefit? A little less access to the boys because pretty soon we will have to compete ON HOLD with all of the Midwest House Frows and the Southern Mulletheads! Don't get me wrong I am glad the boys got evertyhing they wanted, they deserve the best for the hours upon hours of awesome entertainment they provide us, but syndication does not benefit us . . . | ||||

I look forward to being able to listen to them out of town. Also, they got a lot of young guys like me in high school who listen, who would miss the boys in college.

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Nov. 00 | Basically Oedipus claims that a lot of sponsers refuse to advertise during Stern's show so he has to use Nik Carter as the safe alternative. He says that these sponsers who now advertise on Carter's show will leave if O&A's show is on during the afternoons. Basically the guy is just scared to take any risks in life. | ||||

| Hanger-On Registered: Jun. 01 | I've been a huge fan of Opie and Anthony since they started their gig on WAAF way back when. I continue to voice my opinion on how they're the best int he business and how they shouldn't have been fired. However, I do think that it's an embarrassment to be on WBCN. To put it bluntly, the station would be out of business now if it weren't for Howard Stern's morning program, which brings in the dough. I hope they do get Nik Carter's time slot, because that no-talent has been trying to imitate them for years...why don't they just get rid of him and bring back the real thing? Well, that's my opinion. Even if they did go on WBCN, it would still make my day, because I have missed the greatly. | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Nov. 00 | I agree with you 100%. Nik Carter's show isn't good radio and the whole station pretty much sucks. But it's most likely going to be either WBCN or WZLX and I seriously doubt WZLX's current format and listeners would support gonzo radio. If Oedipus had any balls he would put O&A on right up against WAAF's Rocko & Matty and get some f-ing ratings. In my opinion, the only reason WAAF gets the ratings they do is because O&A brought listeners to the station back in the late nineties. | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Nov. 00 | The strange thing was that WAAF and Birdsey did agree on a contract and everything seemed to be ok..then they just said f it and fired his Billy West ass. Then AAF had a "promotion" to find Rocko's new side kick where they said they were going to pick a random seat number from a Red Sox game and the winner would be the new dj...somehow it doesn't quite make any sense to me why and I think that this Matty was a plant. He seems a little too comfortable with Rocko from the first show and on. | ||||

Rocko and Birdsey were bad enough in the scripted shit department but the new guy is taking that to new heights. They suck so bad I don't even give them the obligatory listen anymore. I just fire up Staind or STP on the way home. It's better than listening to those fools bicker about something stupid. As for the "promotion", my initial thoughts were that it was probably fixed. I mean just think about it, what are the chances that they would happen to pick a number that didn't belong to some old bastard or some random person? Not very good. Then if you look at that Matty freaks homepage (it's a link on the Rocko section of the aaf page) you see that he's had radio experience on some morning show in Boston. Hmm, now that's not too sketchy. I still would love to see O&A replace them on AAF since I don't get BCN this far west but if they have to at least get on BCN and kick their ass. Syndication Underground works for me. ------------------- But there's also this: there are over 5,000 men in this city, who know that being a policeman is an endless, glamourless, thankless job that's gotta be done. I know it, too, and I'm damn glad to be one of them." | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Nov. 00 | Springfields not too bad..I forgot about that city. I went to Umass and there is nothing but farmland and trees around there. Springfield was the only place to go for a real resteraunt or bar. | ||||
