| Psychopath Registered: Sep. 00  | I finally figured out how to do it and have begun uploading entire O & A show mp3's on the site. | Psychopath Registered: May. 01 | Mulligan, I do have some old O&A shows stored on some CDR. The problem with that is i encoded those with pretty high quality. Each show is about 80-100MB. If you think there's enough HD space on the FTP for it, i'll be glad to upload them to you. Until then, i'll wait. | ||||

| Psychopath Registered: Mar. 01 | Upload Away - I have a new drive on order and am in the process of backing up all of the current files to tape and CD-Rom - When that is complete I will have another 7GB free. I think there is already 7.5GB free so go ahead. I also am deleting duplicate files and will probably start getting rid of some very poor quality files. Thanks again and have fun uploading. (NOTE: I will bring the FTP server down tomorrow AM to reboot and perform file maint. Make sure all uploads and downloads are complete so I do not have to kick anyone off the server. It it will be back up around 10:00AM)  | ||||

YAHOO - Thanks again for the uploads Jeremy - Thanks for the uploads but you are uploading 99% duplicate files. Please see what files are up first to save room and bandwidth. The traffic is getting pretty busy and space is at a prepium. Now that you think I am an ass-hole, Thanks again for the uploads - I just want to make sure the site can stay up. | ||||

| Psychopath Registered: May. 01 | Most of my recent O&A shows are huge, and i'm pretty sure blueman has them in smaller size. So i'm probably not going to upload them, but i do have some old shows which i got from rotty's FTP, those are in good quality and smaller size. And i will upload those soon. More regarding the recent shows, i am probably going to talk to blueman about which shows he's going to upload, and fill in the missing gaps. That's it for now, Enjoy the shows! | ||||

| Psychopath Registered: Mar. 01 | To all who have been uploading and to those who will in the future: I like to give credit where credit is due. I also like to make the files easy to find. The reason for this post is to see if it is OK to put all of the shows under O&A shows instead of your own folders listed in the O&A Shows directory. That way people will not find duplicate stuff and so on. I would be happy to keep a credits file in the diriectory and anything you would like to put in the credits so that everyone knows you are doing all of this work to feed them would be available. Or I could just keep doing it the way I am doing now. Please let me know as I do not want to piss anyone off who is doing work to help SU but want to make the site as user friendly as possible. Any other ideas or suggestions will be reviewed by a respected Dicks Gutter Cleaing Service Rep. Also, any feedback as to the speeds of the site, is the site easy of use, blah blah blah blah One last thing - I guess just because it is not O&A related does not mean you can not upload it. I do have a delete key and can remove files later if room runs out. I guess I should have thought of that earlier so for that I am sorry. But I will say this - If you upload something and in a few months it is gone. So sorry - So sad - You should have attended the school of backing up your stuff I am the weakest Link - Goob Bye | ||||

| Psychopath Registered: May. 01 | In response to Mulligan's question: i don't really mind making it easier for the users, so all you got to do is tell me where to upload the files. Personally, i find it easier to upload the shows to the separate folders in the UPLOAD Directory. I usually check the FTP to make sure i don't upload the same show as someone else, but that's just me. More about today's show that i encoded, MY GOD! It was a peice of crap! I just took a listen, and couldn't make out first half of the show, but it got better at the end..... Still, sorry people, let's hope Sblueman's copy is much better than mine. My setup for encoding the show is thru WinAMP's livefeed. So if the person's live365 is screwed up (like today's) then my copy would be fucked too.. I would use Sblueman's radio for better quality, but it tends to drop out for no reason on my cpu. So once again people, sorry for the screwup. | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | Mulligan, Im getting d/l speeds averageing between 58 and 65 kb/sec. Seems to be like that all the time, but I haven't had the chance to try in the middle of the night yet (when I would think traffic to be at its lowest). I'm also on cable, if that helps you. As for the schedule, looks like for now I will be able to run the radio replay up until noon when Ron & Fez come on. More feeds are more gooder! I am talking about when I move the files to the SHOW Directory instead of keeping them in individual folders to just have all the shows in that one directory. I have an idea - Why don't I just do what ever I want and if anyone does not like it then they can let me know and I will try to change it if it makes sense. That should work. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | Its cool - granted, I'm used to getting between 150-250, but I am not complaining. It could've been due to others hitting the site as well. I'm sure there are a whole lot more people than the few of us here discussing it in this thread that are making use of it. I feel bad for BF on a 56K - I remember those days. If I were still on dialup, I wouldn't even try to get any of these shows. No worries Mulligan, the speeds are stable, and the fact that the site exists a blessing.
