| Psychopath Registered: Mar. 01 | OK so I do not know what I am doing all of the time barch97 but I am trying. These damn computers are not as easy as they look. You would think all you have to do is push a couple of buttons and free porn shows up but nooooo . They make you pay for the stuff. To all who are having problems that say files does not exist. Please note that files are moved from the upload folder to the their perspective place and some have been deleted becasue they were duplicates. Hit Refresh on your browser and that should clear things up. Some ass-hole invented cookies for quicker downloads and if you don't have your browser set to refresh at every visit you may not see files in their current locations. Just a thought.  | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | I'm having issues connecting to the FTP with ftpexplorer. If I follow the upload directions (posted on a site referenced above), it never connects, just hangs for 90 seconds, and tells me there is an error. If I copy and paste the ftp address into the Quick connect option, I can connect no problem, but when it comes time to download a file, it tells me access denied. I have inserted all of the information into the specified fields as instructed on the again referenced site (prior post) as well. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? EDIT - ok, now I see it only happens with the 6/69, 6/19 and 6/20 shows - I tried the 6/15 show, and it downloads fine - now Im really confused. And to clear up my post above, I was at work when I posted, so trying FTPExplorer wasn't an option due to the firewall - I have one at home, (where I am now), and have set the levels to permit traffic through. I just seem to have a problem with the 6/18, 6/19 and now 6/20 shows. I have tried other files, smooth as silk. Classes for Enhancing your Board Experience and Stamina are now in Session! And FTP explorer is not the best program out there when logging in a FTP my solution to all this is that: 1. get a new FTP access program, ie: CuteFTP is the easiest and best one to get 2. or use this address: ftp://oanda:oanda@208.57.210.134:21 | ||||

| Psychopath Registered: Mar. 01 | Sorry about all of the problems guys - Here is the deal. I set up the FTP folder with admin rights so people could upload and do what ever they wanted and nothing would be wrong with the files once moved to the secure folders. Then, some F-ing Twat decided to go to the upload folder and delete everything. I guess it wsa my bad because I did not take delete off the permissions. Then some Super Twat tried to hack in the server and fuck with it. My software caught the fucker and shut the FTP down to protect the site (I have the cock suckers IP and will get him back) So to make a short story long, I put the clamp on the permissions and it is making things hard. It is best to always log on as oanda for uploads and downloads. This will always work for all files but there is no delete privelages for that account. My guess is some Stern fan tried to mess with it. Lost about 10 shows but TrAnCeFoRcE got them back up. Why do people have to be assholes and hack into sites to fuck things up ???? | Psychopath Registered: May. 01 | Glad to be of any help to the FTP, sorry to hear someone fucked up your FTP, mulligan. It's always a bad idea to give the public DELETE permission. Assholes tend to go crazy with that. Here's a few suggestions to help you run the FTP better: 1. turning on the "append" or "resume" for the account. I find it to be a pain in da ass whenever a upload cuts off, i'll have to start all over again. 2. setting a "timeout" limit 3. setting an "anti-hammering" feature 4. Limit one login per IP And no problem, hornygoatweed, glad to help out a fellow fan. And if anyone else have questions regarding FTPs, ask away. Free advice! | ||||

I generally move the files from the upload folder to the O&A Shows folder in the AM before 10:30. I get in the office between 8 and 9. So a good rule of thumb would be not to upload/download during these times as it may F it up and you will have to start over. If anyone know of a good NT4.0 Server program that would automate this like a 4:00AM I wouild be happy to use it so it does not cause problems. Also, I am about to start traveling again Monday - Thursday so I could use it for that. Even better, if you know a good remote adminmistration tool for NT4.0 Server that I could use other then Carbon Copy or PC Anywhere. (I do not think you can use these programs with an IP address outside the network without a modem) | ||||

| Psychopath Registered: May. 01 | Server program for NT4? Sorry, mulligan, can't help you there, i don't use NT4 at all.... my cpu is running on win98. But with your server automating the transfering of files, i don't think any server will do that for you. At least not the ones i have used. And about logging into your own FTP when out of your own network. I suggest you set up a master account for the FTP, something with a login/password. And when setting up this account, enable all of its ability. (ie: delete files, move files, upload/download permission, etc..) This way, even if you're away and using a modem with a different IP, you can still login with this master account and do work on the FTP. | ||||

First of all there is a programm called VNC It works really well, and best of all is free. As far as your automated moves and what not go. A batch file and the windows scheduler are all you need. Unless you like to see tommy lee's junk ALOT, you won't like this video too much. But it sure took a longass time to upload the whole thing... it was going at 20K when i usually get 35K! Dammit!
