Yeah, FUCK YOU BASTARDS. Why don't you hire some techs that know what the fuck they are doing?

God-damned mother fuckers! I'm at work now so I can post this. Fucking Optimum Online goes down yesterday RIGHT AS I GOT HOME FROM WORK!?!?! I'm on the fucking computer for 3 minutes and it goes OFFLINE. Call them up for 4 hours and talk to 5 morons that couldn't tell me shit. After the first call, I would preface all of my personal info with what I had done. (removed and re-installed software, shutdown machine, unplugged machine for 30 seconds and booted, unplugged the modem for 30 seconds, unplugged both for 30 seconds, unplugged cable from primary feed for 30 seconds) After 10 minutes of explaining what I did, this ONE DUMB MOTHERFUCKER says, "ok, I'm now going to ask you to shut down your computer" HOLY FUCK!!!! I'm seeing red. There is a fucking message on their phone system about Piscataway (the next town over) being offline and these "techs" DIDN'T FUCKING HAVE A CLUE!

Now I have to leave work early for another DUMB FUCK tech to come to my house and say "problem's not here" must be in the office. God-Damn people, I do this shit for a living, I KNOW HOW TO WIRE MY FUCKING HOUSE FOR A CABLE MODEM!!! When I'm sitting there using it and it shuts down for no reason, DON"T FUCKING PING MY MODEM, IT AIN'T FUCKING WORKING!!! MORONS I TELL YOU... MORONS!

All I wanted to do was to play some FUCKING EVERQUEST for the first time in a while. NOW I CAN'T DO SHIT! That was my primary means of communication with the outside world (my cell phone coverage also sucks). I HAD TO GO OUTSIDE! What the fuck?!?! I"M SOOOOO FUCKING PISSED.

No shit!

Everything you said is exactly what I have been going through for MONTHS!!!

They keep giving me "fix-it" advice as though the problem was in MY house. Fuck you! It's YOUR system that is the problem.

Every fucking day when I get home from work, guess what, the lights on the modem are blinking and only an act of god can restore service. Every fucking day!

Thank god I'm antisocial.

Don’t get me wrong, I am not fighting to uphold the restraints that give protection to rights fully accrued upon facts so nearly permanent as to be substantially impervious to change, rather I am for the supervision of changing conduct or conditions and are thus provisional or tentative.

Maybe I'm just lucky but I've had little problems in the 2+ yrs I've had it.
Of course I know not to talk to the telephone "techs" - either I do it myself or have them send someone. Your chance of a getting decent phone tech is about 1:20.

I don't know why you people bother with cable and dsl.

I have no problems at all with my dial-up, and it's portable too.

I think it all started with the Declaration of Independence -- the idea that we had the inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. That pursuit is what took America from the revolution to the computer age in 200 years. But the progress has come at a price. The obvious being the people that were exploited to make it possible; the not so obvious being us, the first group of people that were given no obvious frontiers to conquer. We hear stories that about the good old days that don't seem to apply anymore. It's a generation gap that leaves us without role models. But the bright side is that without role models, there are no roles. Maybe that's what the 60s were all about -- getting rid of the roles. But what do we replace them with? Without any guidance, what do we replace them with? Without any guidance, the choices become overwhelming. Sometimes it just makes everything feel hopeless. So we destroy our bodies in the search of an ideal. Try to salvage relationships that don't work. We feel we must do something, instead of doing something that we feel. It is the prison of self-imposed momentum, and the sad part is that we get used to it. It reminds me of a song I heard the other day. It's called "The Going Nowhere Fast." But the people I have met here have shown me another side of Nowhere. They've pointed out the beautiful irony that stagnation makes it easy to stop and smell the roses, if we just let it. What would we be if we had nothing to rebel against? Well we could finally be ourselves, the first group of people who stopped looking for the answers long enough to appreciate the questions. And all we have to do is to make our own Declaration of Independence. We can embrace the right to life and liberty by simply realizing that happiness exists -- not to pursue, but to accept. After that the only challenge would be to make sure with the rest of our lives that we weren't just another fad. I don't know, it's an idea. What do you think?

Anything that Cablevision/Optimum sells you usually sucks because it never works. This is why that asshole Dolan continues to get more and more money because he knows that you going to have to have someone come over to repair the shit. This is also why Yankees fans are getting so pissed off as well because Dolan refuses to get the YES network. He's the one you should be saying Fuck You too.

Nah, it's people like you that speed at 80 miles per hour, and risk a ticket, instead of doing a safe 65-70 to avoid a tickeet to save seconds to very very few minutes on the trip. Then you get a ticket that takes about 20 minutes to write up after a full cavity search, and then you bitch and complain.

Even if you get there without a ticket, you do nothing with the time that you have saved.

I just don't understand that logic.
