I know We've all seen whats the best movie you've ever seen threads, but this is one with a twist.(Actually I stole the idea from espn radio the other night) What is the best movie you've heard about, that you have never seen?

For me there are 2. The first has to be 12 Angry Men. I've heard so many good things about this movie, but i have never seen it. The other, I'm ashamed to admit is Raging Bull. Named one of the best movies of all time, I have never seen even 15 minutes of it.

I guess one person can make a difference but most of the time they probably shouldn't.

Face, the original 12 Angry Men was outstanding. The remake was very good, and had almost as great a cast, but I just loved the original. Henry Fonda was just great.

I have never seen Ben Hur or Spartacus. two classic epics. But I think the one that amzes me the most is that for some reason, I have never gotten around to watching One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest.

L33T LIEK JEFFK MOTHERBITCHES. I fucking hate everyone of you motherfuckers, so leave me the fuck alone and DIE. Jesus Christ, you fucking mongoloids disgust me. You're all living proof of why Abortions should be mandatory in some cases. We should Enslave the retards and use them to build our Utopia. After that, we'll just put a bullet in their mis-shapen skulls. Or throw them in ovens, whichever is cheaper.

I found Scarface to be extremely over-rated. I thought it dragged on too much.

But as someone else mentioned I have yet to see Gone With the Wind.

Is it just me? or, does anyone else get pissed enough to kill the effers that do that? I can understand maybe the "questions" thread, not wanting to read all 400 pages before you respond but, to not even read the first post before you respond... What an effin douchebag.

oh and, Cassablanca. Never saw it, I'm ashamed to admit. Probably would pretty dissapointed in it if I were to see it now.
Kind of like watching the Blues Brothers...
Yeah it was effin hysterical but, watch it now...
Every line has been ripped off so many times by so many movies...
It's just not funny anymore :(

Not me, I actually consider that one of the best of all time. A movie like that had to pace itself. Just like the Godfather it takes some time to get all that story onto film.

Best movie I've never seen....don't know have to get back to yah.

I might have thought the same if it wasn't for such a fantastic ending (IMO). The ending sequence itself made me love that movie. You just gotta love how he keeps getting shot and just says "Fuck you, I take all your bullets"

Now I can't think of any I haven't seen, (since If I thought it was good I'd search it out), so I'll go a little differently...

until about a month ago I had never seen Resevoir Dogs.

edit:
Well, you post something and then remember something:

The African Queen. I actually started to watch it several times (last time yesterday) and something happens that I have to stop. and also "The Searchers", supposedly the greatest Western.

By the way, 12 angry men (original) has great performance by Jack Klugman.

What else haven't I seen? None of those MGM musicals,

And QS, I'm ashamed of you

Summary: The gay nigger movie to end all gay nigger movies . . .

When the first gay nigger walks onto the screen, you know you're in for a real treat. It is almost to impossible articulate, in words, the sheer, visionary brilliance of this film.

Julien Garneau-Proulx gives the performance of his life as the janitor's son. Although he spends most of his time cleaning his father's bath house, and he dies rather early at the hands of the Super Gay Nigger, he leaves an unforgettable impression on the audience.

The music is amazing as well. "Gay Niggers Eat Pigs and Fly on Penises Made of Ham and Brown Ham, Because They're Gay Niggers" is an oscar-worthy song. This song plays during the scene when Gay Nigger Jim rapes a toilet and explodes, and unless you're souless, it will make you cry.

The stuff of legends . . .

Oh man, I can't stop laughing.

You tell me that nothing matters, You're just fucking scared
You tell me that I'm better, You just hate yourself
You tell me that you like her, You just wish you did
You tell me that I make no difference, Well at least I'm fucking trying
What the fuck have you done?

That's a movie that can never disappoint. I remember the first time I saw it, I was in awe, even after hearing how great it was supposed to be.

See, I just didn't think that the whole movie could stand the test of time. The Godfather had everything, but Scarface just seemed to be lacking in my view.

quote:

also "The Searchers", supposedly the greatest Western

The Searchers is probably one of the greatest Westerns ever made. It is hands down the greatest collaboration between John Wayne & John Ford who made a lifetime of classics together. Besides True Grit, and Sands of Iwo Jima, it is Wayne's best performance.
