Ok first the last couple of days here on the board there's a new banner. "Today at OTL" Do anybody really care what's new on OTL? I feel as though that site is beating me in the head everytime i sign on. Froy are you paying for your own ads now?

then you must be freakin out about the southpark on the main screen too. that actually became combined, yet nobody freaked. imagine that. yet otl is seperate. do i like box...no. do i like the fuckin porn....no. do i let the owner of this site do what he wants because he put up the cash and time into the board...sure. that's why it's his. when you make a board, you can keep it a shining example of messageboard beauty. don't get me wrong...i agree with you...but also allow some leeway here too.

While I agree with Gooch that Froy has every right to do whatever the hell he wants with this site, and has no obligation to answer to anyone or do anything to appease them, it is, nonetheless quite enjoyable to poke fun.

Same thing here. I hadn't seen it all along until I rebooted my machine after a month a few days ago.

I only have Win2k to thank for that. Had I had double the RAM, I could have gone another month without seeing it, maybe.

Moral of the story is you can NEVER have enough RAM!

OTL is a'ight, but I like OTL² more gooder :D

I think it all started with the Declaration of Independence -- the idea that we had the inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. That pursuit is what took America from the revolution to the computer age in 200 years. But the progress has come at a price. The obvious being the people that were exploited to make it possible; the not so obvious being us, the first group of people that were given no obvious frontiers to conquer. We hear stories that about the good old days that don't seem to apply anymore. It's a generation gap that leaves us without role models. But the bright side is that without role models, there are no roles. Maybe that's what the 60s were all about -- getting rid of the roles. But what do we replace them with? Without any guidance, what do we replace them with? Without any guidance, the choices become overwhelming. Sometimes it just makes everything feel hopeless. So we destroy our bodies in the search of an ideal. Try to salvage relationships that don't work. We feel we must do something, instead of doing something that we feel. It is the prison of self-imposed momentum, and the sad part is that we get used to it. It reminds me of a song I heard the other day. It's called "The Going Nowhere Fast." But the people I have met here have shown me another side of Nowhere. They've pointed out the beautiful irony that stagnation makes it easy to stop and smell the roses, if we just let it. What would we be if we had nothing to rebel against? Well we could finally be ourselves, the first group of people who stopped looking for the answers long enough to appreciate the questions. And all we have to do is to make our own Declaration of Independence. We can embrace the right to life and liberty by simply realizing that happiness exists -- not to pursue, but to accept. After that the only challenge would be to make sure with the rest of our lives that we weren't just another fad. I don't know, it's an idea. What do you think?

Ok first i never noticed the south park change on the title page. You know why? Because i'm not interested in reading that forum. As far as the porn ads they dont bother me. I believe Amateurpages is a pay site anyway. If Froy is comfotable promoting porn that's his business. Like you said Gooch IT"S HIS MESSAGE BOARD
I dont care how he wants to run it. That's his business. I'm not telling him or anyone how to run the site. I'm just feel as though OTL.com is being force fed to me.

Listen, if you don't like OTL and you don't care, then just ignore the syndicated box as if it were a banner.

It got rid of the porn that was there, I thought that would be a good thing. If people find a headline that they would be interested in, then they can click it.

I'm trying to promote the site yes, but no matter what I do, people are going to be pissed and criticize me.

you're not doing a very good job with your "beating me in the head" argument, it's been there for weeks but you only noticed it yesterday? that hardly sounds like something that's causing you this much distress. personally, yes, i could live without ever hearing about otl again and it is kind of annoying to see the ads for it all the time, but really, if you're going to try to make a point, could you at least make it a sensible one, thank you.

I remember those days. Which reminds me, any chance of a new batch of OA.Com T-Shirts being printed up? I always kick myself in the ass for not having grabbed a few of them when they were out.

And PC, not to be picky, but your email address is an AOL email address - the KING of all banner ad spammers! How can you complain about an OTL banner when AOL trumps you with their endless ads everytime you log on?
