What about that Hockey movie, where the Rangers won the Stanley Cup, then steadily declined for a few years, and then missed the playoffs for three years straight and had a very depressing season after that?

Oh wait, that was reality. Depressing, depressing reality.....

When Sandleford Warren is destroyed in
Watership Down...

The ending to Shane...

This is totally gay of me, but the end of Love
and War got me (but that's cause I inserted my
Hemingway obsession)

Good call on All Quiet on the Western Front...

The almost ending to Eulie's Gold...

me and froy discussed this scene when discussing war movies.

I forget the names but you probably know the scene. From saving private ryan.

When the skinny guy is fighting the german in the bandoned building and the german takes his knife out and gets the upper hand. Then as the guys is laying on his bacn with the bulky german upon him slowly getting closer with the knife. he begs him to please stop as the coward watches from a distance on the steps. Then the german over powers him and slowly slips the knife into his cheast and comes close and just whispers "shhhhhhhhh" as digs the knife in further.

also good call with the original all quiet on the western front, the only version.

Any scene with Marilyn Chambers when I realized it wasn't me banging her.

In Rudy, when he didn't make the list of players that dressed that final time. When all the other players came into the coach's office with their jerseys to allow him to play, wow that was so moving.

Those war pictures had tons of them. I'm trying to remember the name of the WWII Movie with Gregory Peck, as a C.O. of a Bomber Group where he has a breakdown, and you keep waiting for him to snap out of it, but he doesnt. Also Green Berets w/the kid at the end.

the saddest movie scene for me was when Mr. Hand didn't let Jeff Spicoli in the history class in Fast Times at Ridgemont High. I started crying when Mr. hand tore up his Mr. Spicolis card and send him to the main office. :(

I think the most depressing scene in a movie is when the girl from here on earth dies
