Because I just saw it on and it reminded me of the last scene: Glory
Did the whole fing unit have to die? Seeing those bodies thrown into the ditch. Nice.

For the anime fans. The scene from Ninja Scroll
where Kakario gets stabed in the back. Also i have
heard the movie Graveyard of the fireflies is a
tearjerker.

Of Mice and Men (Gary Sinise/John Malkovich remake)

George(Sinise) gets Lenny(Malkovich) thinking about how happy he'll be living on their farm, playing with bunny rabbits. Then puts a bullet in the back of his head.

my most depressig movie scenes (in no particular order)
1. Untamed Heart.. when Christian Slater and Marissa Tomei drive home from the hockey game, and she goes to wake him up, and he is dead.
2. Armegeddon.. when Bruce Willis is telling Liv Tyler that he wont be coming back off the asteroid.
3. My Life.. there is no particular snene. the entire movie is very depressing, but excellent.
4. Seven.. When Brad Pitt finds out that is wife was decapitated by Kevin Spacey.
5. Saving Private Ryan.. When Tom Hanks dies at the end.
6. Higher Learning... Omar Epps's girlfriend gets killed by a skinhead at a rally, and they pan out to show the entire field with her lying on his lap as she is spitting blood and then he flips out after the skinhead.
7. American History X. Edward Furlong gets killed in the bathroom in the high school.
8. E.T... when all the doctors where working on him inside that bubble room.

Haven't seen it mentioned...

How about the ending to Chasing Amy? That gets me every time... at the con... where they basically ignore all they had...

What about The Patriot? That had a ton of sad scenes... two sons getting killed... Gabriel's new wife getting locked in the church as it burned to the ground... and the part that REALLY nailed me was when the youngest daughter ran after Mel Gibson as he was leaving... "poppa don't go, I'll say anything you want..."

Yep. Those are the ones that really stick out in my mind as the ones that got me.

There's two I can think of:

Braveheart - not when he dies but when Brucie boy fucks him over
Forrest Gump "....and every night we read a book, he's just so smart Jenny...."
bawling, absolutely bawling at that one

You know what's really sad, I will turn off some of those movies when those scenes come on, like the one in Saving Private Ryan when the guy is getting slowly stabbed...I just can't watch that when he's begging for his life.

Saddest movie scene though, I'd have to go with a scene at the end of Donnie Brosco, when Al Pacino gets the call saying to come to a meeting where he knows he is going to get killed for vouching for Donnie. He's talking to his wife while she's in the bathroom, saying he's going out, and he'll be back later, but he's there taking off all his jewlry and putting in drawers so she can still have it.
Sad stuff

What makes the scene from Pvt. Ryan worse is the ASSHOLE translator on the stairs crying while his friend gets killed.

What about Star Trek:Generations when Kirk dies?

The Patriot was too cheesy, goofy, over the top and stereotypical to be depressing. When the girl can't talk but talks at the most poignant moment for her to talk, I cracked up.

Wait a second, wait a second, wait a second...THEY SHOOT OLD YELLER?!?!?!?!?! lol that old gag!

One of the most depressing scenes for me had to be in Selena when She is shot and killed by her fan club president...that bitch, I cry everytime they show the shot of the family finding out in the hospital

also I get alittle teary eyed when Chaz Palmentari gets shot in Bronx Tale

What are we gonna do about this?
