I don't think asking filmamkers to name their top 100 films is bullshit. I might not like all the movies on the list (titanic), but are you going to argue with Spielberg or Tarantino over which movies are the most exciting? I've seen the majority of the films and I can't disagree too much. And I would certainly put Jaws and Psycho as the top 2.

I agree about Jaws, that movie rocked. This show was good, My fiance and I watched it and she didnt see the top like 7 movies, so I think a trip to blockbuster is in order.

I just bought Pyscho on DVD and showed Mrs. Fudge, who never saw it. Scared her s-less, and she had no idea about how it would end, so she was completely surprised. I think these shows are little more than a way to sell DVDs, but some films deserve to be mentioned again and again.

Maybe if we stopped seeing the shit they are producing now and watch more of the really good films, albeit on a 22" monochrome TV, maybe Hollywood would stop producing shitting movies.

Alien had got to be one of the most suspenseful movies every. We are so used to be bombarder with scene after scene, constant action, so that when a movie does nothing for 5 minutes, it's too creepy.

So how exactly do they define a "Thrilling" movie? Pretty ambiguos catagory.

You're right, Dent.
I mean, "Star Wars" was a GREAT movie, but I don't know how "thrilling" it was.

How messed up is it if you looked at the 100 Most Thrilling American Films List, it's actually a better list for 100 Best American Films than the 100 Best American Films List- full thoughts coming soon. Didn't watch the Program, was watching the Kubrick Documentary on Cinemax- Kubrick still is Film God

The narrator in Fight Club is the man we will be, Patrick Bateman in American Psycho is
the man we want to be
Eliza Dushku- Hotter Than
Britney

Thrilling movies is very ambiguous. Do they mean supenseful, scary or action packed? It seemed like they meant all three. How else could you have Raiders of the Lost Ark and Casablanca and Aliens?

What a bullshit list. I mean, how can you have the Matrix #66 and Titanic so much higher at #25? There's nothing thrilling about a ship going under the water, big fucking deal. The Matrix was so much better than that.

Yea i be taking that zoloff, but thaz jus keepin me from killin y'all.

The list is ok, but I also want to know what the thrilling definition is. It is a good list movies, most of which I would love to own in my collection, but as for thrilling, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense...

It's not a great list but better than the top 100 movies or top 100 comedies.

I didn't think Gladiator was thrilling. Dr. Strangelove is totally thrilling. It's one of the few movies that has all three subplots fitting the category.

No Res. Dogs, Titanic NOT thrilling, No Good, the Bad and the Ugly- the final shoot out might be the most thrilling piece of cinema ever made, I did like a lot of Hitchcock and a lot of Kubrick, Oz was not thrilling, Planet of the Apes was thrilling and Gonzo, the four thrilling movies you looked for- great choices.

And don't worry Grk, I'm 18 and have seen like 90 of them,

The narrator in Fight Club is the man we will be, Patrick Bateman in American Psycho is
the man we want to be
Eliza Dushku- Hotter Than
Britney

I guess The Good, The Bad and The Ugly isn't listed, even though it is a thrilling film is because it is Italian, filmed in Spain. Dr Strangelove - should definately be there, every time I hear "We'll meet again" I picture nuclear explosions now.
