Id also like to know how many of those Garden seats are corporate bought(A couple of thousand a game perhaps?) that are empty now that the Rangers blow monkey ass. I am really scared tonight especially after what I saw the other night against the Capitals. They still have a good team BUT in spruts. The other thing that scares is the fact that the Devils are coming off a long road swing and are going to look very sluggish in the 1st period. But you know what all we could do it wait. The Islander fans used to chant that every game before the Rangers kicked their asses in 94 on the way to the Cup. And the Devils are 6 wins away from Pittsburgh's streak for 17 in a row. Lets see some similarities here. That year in 93, Pittsburgh were defending Stanley Cup Champions. Devils are Defending Stanley Cup Champions. Pittsburgh had their streak at the very end of the season. The Devils have their streak at the very end of the season. Pittsburgh looked dominant and on their way to another cup. Devils look dominant and on their way to another cup. Pittsburgh lost to the lowly Turgeon-less Islanders in the 2nd Round. Devils, fill in the blank. But we wont have to make the comparisons because the Devils will fall 6 games short tonight.  | ||||

You've must be a Chicago Cubs fan cuz the Rangers have about the same chance of beating the Devils as the Cubs have of winning a pennant. They're both loser teams. Matteau? And the Rangers are as bad as the Islanders because they always loose to them. First off how do you loose to somebody. Its lose to somebody. Second off, by your logic I guess the Islanders are better than the Blues because they beat them last night. And the Rangers dont always "Loose" as you would say, to the Islanders. The Islanders have played well at the Garden lately and have won 3 in a row. As far as I can remember the Rangers have won 3 of the last 4 at the Coliseum. And in the last 10 have won about 7. | ||||

Use the following for a nice verbal battle against a Ranger fan some time, because all of these are TRUE. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *Number 10* Their team is named after the police "Rangers" of TEXAS. Their name has absolutely, positively nothing to do with New York. But the mere naming of a hockey team after 'police' is enough to make the top 10 alone. *Number 9* 70% of corporate America which dominates New York City has control of the Rangers game tickets (hence the reason they always sellout). The regular fans barely get a chance to see a game! *Number 8* In the rare exceptions when they make the playoffs, they have the NHL record for most 1st round defeats with 22! *Number 7* They also have the record for most times being swept in a playoff series with 10! (the Devils have never been swept in their entire existance.) *Number 6* The last 3 years, they've had the highest payroll in the NHL, including a league record 61 million dollar payroll in 2000, and couldn't even make the playoffs once! *Number 5* They hold the NHL record for longest Stanley Cup drought with 54 years (1940-1994). A very distant second is 15 years behind. The famous 1940 chant was born when they lost 3 straight playoff rounds to the Islanders.
