What is up with the Moose? Iwas at the stadium last thursday when he got shelled. He sux lately.

Ok i'll give u that he did get messed up thursday
but he only gave up two runs yesterday which were both homers. And b4 those two homers he was pitching a no hitter. Moose gave us a good start and put us in a position to win.

We can have all the great pitching we want, but if we don't score what good is it?

The Yankees need to Score some runs. I'm not sure what's wrong with them, maybe they need the Red Sox's to be breathing down their necks to play good...but It's time to put some space between them.

they are still 3 games ahead of the Sox for first place. tomorrow the Yanks start a series with the Devil Rays, and the Sox play Seattle. i look for the Yanks to increase their lead in the coming days.

the yanks are kicking some serious ass tonight. clay fucking bellinger has 2 home runs and 4 rbi's, jeter is 3-5 with a home run, and tino got his 91st rbi. looks like clemens will boost his record to 16-1, and by the end of the night the yanks will be 5 games ahead of the sox.

I had an awesome day of baseball today. First it
was off to the Bronx where Sterling Hitchcock had
a great start. Justice hit another homerun
followed by a grand slam bt Paulie O'Neil that
went deep into the upperdeck in right field
leading to an impressive 12-5 (would've been 12-3
if Randy Choate hadn't "choked") win and a sweep
of the Devil Rays. Then it was down to Staten
Island to see the much missed Orlando "El Duque"
Hernandez pitch 6 full innings for a shutout, SI
Yankees win 8-1 after the Pittsfield Astros added
a run in the tp of the 9th. El Duque looked pretty
damn good..can't wait to see him back in the Yanks
starting rotation :)

Much thanks to Grumpy and my "master" for this kick ass sig pic :)

top of the seventh and mussina's still looking brilliant. he's shutting out one of the best lineups in the majors, and he's finally getting some run support.

the yankees are continuing to swing the bat extremely well, as all the runs have come from home runs.

Mussina pitched a 7 inning shut out. Nice job.
Stanton has replaced him in the top of the 8th.
Posada and Jeter had some great double plays. All
around good game for Posada. My man Spencer with
another homerun! As well as Soriano :)

The Mariners have made some very uncharacteristic
plays, including a rare error. The Yankees didn't
convert, however.

Now Stanton has 2 on no outs...hopefully Mendoza
can get out of this inning and preserve the shut
out.

Sidenote: The M's have only been shut out one time
this year

M's say Yankees are soaking basepaths

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ESPN.com news services

NEW YORK -- If speed kills, are the New York Yankees intentionally killing the Seattle Mariners vaunted running game?

That's the question on the minds of some of the Mariners. The M's believe the Yankees have intentionally soaked the basepaths at Yankee Stadium.

"Definitely," Seattle's Mark McLemore told the Seattle Post-Intelligencer on Friday. "Definitely."

"They can think what they want," Yankees manager Joe Torre responded. "But I had nothing to do with it."

In the opener of the three-game series on Friday night, the M's running game was definitely held in check by the Yankees. In fact, both McLemore and Ichiro Suzuki were gunned out trying to steal. The M's were limited to six hits and no steals in a 4-0 loss.

"It was pretty muddy," McLemore said. "But really, I don't know if I would have made it if it was dry. (Jorge) Posada made a strong throw. But they're going to keep doing it, and we're going to keep running. It's what we do. I've been thrown out before, and I'll be thrown out again.

"If a home-run hitter goes four at-bats without a homer, he doesn't stop swinging, does he?"

In fact, the Mariners have now failed in their last six attempts to steal bases -- a fact not lost on manager Lou Piniella. "The (wetness) was the case tonight here and that was the case in Boston," Piniella told the Post-Intelligencer. "They're starting to wet these fields down pretty good."

Ironically, the only team with more stolen bases than the M's in the American League is the Yankees, with 128. The Mariners have 126.

It got scary towards the end. Posada fucked up then Tino left, we were thinking he was hurt. Turned out to be just a leg cramp though. Mo was too strong from not pitching in like 6 days...Can't wait for El Duque's return, I saw him pitch last week in Staten Island...he looked good. He should have a strong start. See ya Lilly :)

If Clemens wants the Cy Young, earn it tonight and kill any hopes the red Sox had going into this series.

Big win last night. Lowe is like a gift. Was Kerrigan trying to give the game away? Well Yanks win and they loose as usual. Let's hope for one more nail in the coffin today.
