Not that I care either way because I never vote. As far as I'm concerned they are all worthless, lying assholes and not one of them are any better than the rest. They tell you what you want to hear during their campaigns, but then turn around once elected and don't follow through.

That is the sort of apathy that politicians live for. It lets them know they can act against their constituents' interests (for the most part) with impunity, because there will be no backlash.

Granted, sometimes they take it too far (see: California), and they pay for it. But for the most part, they figure, and perhaps rightly so, that most folks are too busy, too mistrustful, too lazy or too jaded to pay much attention to politics. And those who do pay attention are usually in special interest groups who can afford to get the politician's attention.
