That would never work. If non-smoking bars were new, they probably wouldn't make as much money, so it wouldn't be beneficial for the bar to take the risk of going smoke-free. Then very few bars would bother going smoke-free, and nothing is solved. The health nut activists would keep pushing.

Just so you know, my health is not a factor for liking this law. I couldn't give a fuck about second-hand smoke. I don't care if people smoke around me. It doesn't bother me. What I don't like is coming home smelling like smoke. You may say that it was my choice to go to the bar and I should have been expecting it - sure I expect it, but I don't have to enjoy it. And if you're going to tell me that my only other choice is to stay home, and never go out and hang with my friends, well fuck you.

This solution keeps the smokers smelling like smoke if they choose to, and the non-smokers free of it. It's a matter of choice. You choose to smoke. You don't have to, but you do. You could kick the habit, anyone CAN, but it's a choice.

Let me stop there before I spoil a movie. :grin2:

UGH, yes.... and one step further, people who can't walk at NEW YORK SPEED. I walk fucking fast, especially in the city. When I come up behind five tourists, all side-by-side, sauntering along as if this is their street in Bumblefuck, Minnesota, I just want to kick them in the fucking heads.
