The Matrix Reloaded (A Matrix within the Matrix?)
#1
I know there is a Matrix topic already, but I didn't want this discussion lost in that thread.

Alright, my coworkers and I were talking about the Matrix Reloaded. And a guy said that even though the free-borns and Morpheus and etc. are outside the Matrix, they are STILL in the Matrix.
His reasoning:
1) Neo destroyed the Sentinels outside the Matrix.
2) The Architect said that this has happened 9 other times and they just reload the Matrix everytime. And they create Zion for the people that don't except the Matrix. So technically, the people in Zion are still in the Matrix.

I don't think I believe this though, but it is awfully convincing.. I just thought Neo has powers also outside the Matrix.. and Zion really does exist.

What do you guys think? My coworker makes an interesting point, but is it valid??

songs that made the hit parade,
guys like us we had it made,
those were the days,
and you know where you were then,
girls were girls and men were men,
mister we could use a man like Herbert Hoover again,
didn't need no welfare states
everybody pulled his weight,
gee our old Lasalle ran great,
those were the days!</center>

The Architect's white though, cause no matter how many shvatzes get together, there's still some Kentucky Fried Chicken-looking guy running the show

just reading about this theory makes my head spin. I will watch the film again and I will ponder this very question you have brought up.

Afterwards, I'll either respond with my take on it all OR I'll just choose to wait for Revolutions to see what truely is the case...

You have piqued my curiosity though...thanks, you just gave me the incentive to watch it for that 3rd time like the commercial suggests. Cool

Actually, the development of Neo's powers outside got a brief mention in the other thread as well.

My guess is that since he is an anomaly, and sort of a hybrid between the computer and human worlds, his powers can exist in both. He just didn't really know he could until visiting the Architect and learning what he was.

Also remember that all of the previous Neos had chosen to return to the source, and "reboot" the program. None of them had ever chosen to return to the real world, so none of them ever knew if their powers could be extended.

quite the conundrum we have with this flick. i had planned on seeing it one more time, but now that i think about it, that commercial that says "if you are only going to see 3 movies this summer make it reloaded 3 times" fuck me, they weren't kidding.

It's always funny until someone gets hurt, and then it's just hilarious
