Did you just make half of those band names up?
Yea, I do that occasionally so people think I know more than them about music.
Oh good. I thought I was getting old or something.
Minor Threat broke up before you grew pubes

I like MxPx's cover of it better
I like hendrix and Dave Matthews Band's version of watchtower

by far the worst cover i've ever heard was Fred Durst doing Wish you were here - i still think he should die for that one.
Best cover ever (for me): "Don't think Twice" written by Dylan performed by Eric Clapton. :thumbs-up:
Quote:performed by Eric Clapton.

Wasn't almost his entire unplugged album covers of old blues songs? :thumbs-up:
Clapton did an "Unplugged"? I didn't know that.
I do know that Dylan did an "Unplugged".

The "Don't Think Twice" cover I was talking about was done at the Bob "Fest" 30th Anniversary concert. GREAT STUFF! Alot of great musicians really did a wonderful job.....better than Dylan (either he's on or he's off)...of covering Dylan's music.

That's where his primary version of "Tears in Heaven" is from, as well as his 2nd time around hit "Layla."

BTW.. thanks for clearing up the Garth Brooks/Dylan issue. :bouncer:

am i the only one who thinks of the guy that goes "WOO!" in the middle of that song?
I taped the radio simulcast during the premier. Glad I did because there were two songs that didn't make the album. One of them was "When the circus left town". Plus all the interview clips they did going into and coming back from the commercials were great.
I completely forgot - Springsteen's cover of "Jersey Girl".

I'm not sure if that's the sign of a good cover or not, that your version is so good you make the song "your own".

After all, when you think "Blinded by the Light", you think Manfred Mann, not Bruce.
Guns 'n Roses - "Since I Don't Have You" Great cover. :thumbs-up: Good stuff.
I forget who originally sang this, tho. I know it's an oldy.
I love the Kenny Wayne Sheppard Band, think they do a great bluesy cover of that song!

bad covers? Papa Don't Preach by Kelly Osbourne....why even bother? she sings with absolutely no emotion...
I'm sure there's other bands who have fucked up my favorite songs.....good covers is easier to pick
