What is the most evil thing man has every invented? Was it the human skin lamp shade? The AK47 assualt rifle or the Dragonov sniper rifle? What one thing would the human race be better off if it was never invented.

I say pantyhose. If it wasn't for pantyhose, women would still be wearing garters and stocking, would feel sexy every day, and would bang much more.

Panty hose are good sometimes...and they should make you appreciate it more when we do dress up and want to look sexy.

Bookbags on wheels are evil...makes people walking the city streets far more lethal....owie my toes.
People people people!!!!
It doesn't count as "evil" unless it has a convenient, obvious Self-Destruct mechanism!!!

Religion
Technicly speaking.... since Religion is what generally defines the moral compass points of both "good" and "evil" (as oppossed to the ethical compass points of "right" and "wrong" generally defined by society) Gooch has a valid LOGICAL point.. though he may have just been attempting sarcasm.
Since we would not "know" Evil if religion did not explain it, religion is the source of our knowledge of all evil, ergo religion IS the most evil thing (as well as the most "good"). Of course.. on the opposite side of the coin.. can we consider "religion" to be an invention of man?

Yes.... man is the one who coined the phrase, and fostered the notions and built the houses of worship for the people to gather. Man has built a multi-million industry around religion. So.....yes
