... arrrgh... I was trying to get the jump on the rest of them reporters.... and I got burned...
Would the real Drudge Jr. please stand up...
what really pisses me off is that we go into Iraq, yes to end the threat from Hussein and all the terrible things he's done. Also to liberate the people from his horrible ruling.

So why then when we go into their villages with trucks full of supplies, food, water, clothing as they rush the trucks and basically take everything they can they begin to shout in arabic "Praise Saddam, Long live Saddam."

After hearing that I would throw out all this nonsense about not harming civilians. They all hate us and could care less about us. So why should we, especially when they pull this crap. It really makes me sick and mad.
1) We have to give them aid.
2) We aren't assholes. It's a good thing to help people out who need it, even if they hate us. The right thing to do is to give people who need our help the help they need.
This is an internet blog from a man named Raed living in Iraq who documents his day to day life and how the war is effecting him. Pretty interesting stuff....

As I read this blog, I can only think of 9/11 and how downtown has been so effected by it. I understand that Iraqis(sp?) were not directly responsible for this attack, but they are now going through the same thing we went through. Many people in Baghdad have no investment in this war, but are still subject to the consequences.

To me, it sucks that we live in a world where such violence is "necessary". I cram to understand why it is so important that we attack Iraq at this time. Yes, Saddam is a bad man that has lead his people into years of suffering, but how is that our business? In this war, it seems that we are the agressors and there is no rebel force to support. Are rebels suppressed by Saddam's regime? I don't know. But, I know that American troops are dying to fight a war in which the outcome is uncertain, win, lose or draw. If we win, who will take over Iraq? Are the Iraqis ready to take over their own country? Can you have a true democracy in a land that is ruled by religion that dictates that non-believers, women and children are lesser than a man?

Fuck it, I'm just gonna go to work tomorrow and hope that Las Vegas is never seen as a strategic target for military or terrorist means.
Did anyone else see this?

I saw it. It was on the cover of the NY Post today. It made me sick.
