nice bomb by gonzales tonight, should have told me you wanted to go, i sold 2 of my field box seats to a couple outside the game. i froze my ass off.
either way I was gonna freeze...free bleacher seats or not...was a nice shot..I'm goin Friday night too.
We need to transplant John Franco's head onto Benitez arm. The guy has good stuff, but nowhere near the personality you want for a closer.
Last night he finally threw some offspeed stuff, and inside, and was able to get the save, even though he still had to make it "interesting".
As you said, there is no better alternative now for Mets than Benitez.

As for Centerfield, according to todays Newsday Howe has finally gone to the Shinjo/Perez platoon.
Shift Is On for CedeƱo

As Joel Sherman wrote in post the other day,
time to bring up Reyes, and put Vance Wilson & Tony Clark in for late defense.
watching Mo Vaughn play 1st base is only slightly less disturbing than watching him run the bases.
IT'S ABOUT FUCKIN TIME!!!!!
Benitez's new line of work.

Albeit two days late and not entirely accurate.

Quote:The 10-time All-Star catcher, who was placed on the 15-day disabled list, took an MRI and was diagnosed with a severe groin strain by Giants team doctor Gary Fanton yesterday morning
but yeah, now it looks like 6-8 weeks out.

If that's a 20 team league, then you are doing well. The fact that you are still playing Beltre is pitiful, and you are play a guy whose name you don't know hopefully points to the fact you are in a very deep league.
12 team head to head league. I'm 4-2 in first place in my division (6 teams per division) with the most points overall in the league. This week I take on the #1 team in the other division who happens to be undefeated so far. I've been trying to make a trade so I could move AdriAn but so far have been unsucessful. I forgot to mention I also have Aramis Ramirez on my bench so i'm extremely weak at third base. The fact I can play Boone at 2B, 3B, and SS is valuable but I need to get a top SS in return for someone so I can move Boone to 3B and be done with Beltre and Ramirez.

I was thinking of trading Bonds for a top tier SS and OF.
I was referring to Brad Fullmer, who sucks.

If you can trade Bonds do it. You could probably get Tejada and a good OF.
Fullmer was good the first month or so, i've since moved Hidalgo into the utility spot. I was the exact same thing for Bonds.
