If the whole premise of the allstar game this year is,"This Time it matters" why wouldn't you take Relievers like Mariano or Percival. Macdougal is haveing a good year, I can see that, But to take Lance Carter? The Tampa bay choice should of been Baldelli, not the AL closer with the most blown saves.
And for starting pitchers, How could you not take Mussina, the guy has been by far one of the best pitchers so far in the AL. Clemens hasn't really been pitching lights out, hell you could even make a case for Wells.
