Ultimate bar
#21
Quote:Actually my ideal (fantasy) bar, is the fancy kind with a big mahogany bar, dim lights, big comfortable chairs, ...... the martini & cigar crowd. Couldn't afford to make a habit of it now though.
Ladi, if your ever in DC go to the Mayflower Hotel (famous for Monica staying there while she was doing Billy Boy). There's a bar there called the Town and Country. Perfect for your description. Has little nooks with couches, love seats and wing back chairs. Perfect atmosphere. If you decide to get a room to get your f on, have the platinum card ready, rooms are pricey but very elegant. Colonial poster beds, lot's of fun. If your card is tapped out, let me know. It's a Rennisance Hotel and I have plenty of Marriott Rewards points. :-D

McSorely's was great when I went there. The sawdust on the floor, the bathroom with the glass door, the carpel tunnel bartenders bringing over your choice of "dark" or "light" beers ten at a time, the fact that there's a line out the door before noon. Just great great times.

Other than that, probably a bar I went to Ft. Lauderdale. I forget the name of it, but it's one of the main ones. Huge front area, and a pool in the back. The bar must fit like 1,000 people.
