:disappointed:
I hit a possum once on an off-ramp. I couldn't stop in time. I started crying, and Mr. Spit was  at me...
I could understand on a highway, but there's no excuse for hitting animanls on like a 25 mph road, which is where I see most of the poor, squished creatures

in england, hedgehogs are the predominant form of roadkill. i hear they're tropical pets here. i guess opussum's are pretty tropical over there... my point? i had none, but i felt i should contribute. personally i try to miss most, which isn't too difficult in nyc, but there were those times in the backwoods of fla with the birds and rabbits...

I hit a little bird this morning, maybe a Robin. It was so cute hoping around the street, but it didn't fly away quick enough, so... thump! :disappointed:

Speaking of chutney... I bought this Indian Hot Lime Relish the other day & I tried it yesterday.... yuck! Atleast it wasn't misrepresented, it was very limey & very spicey.
I bought a Hot Mango Chutney once, that was very good. I'll have to stick to that.

I hit a chipmunk today. It started off with good speed and looked like it would clear the road, but then it pulled up just short of the yellow stripe, took three more hops, but was still in the clear, but then, when I was ten yards away, decided to do a mad sprint and timed my front wheel perfectly. I was surprised that his tiny rodent skull made my wheel bounce. I looked in my rearview mirror and saw his lifeless body roll and I knew that I had taken a creature's life. This has saddend me greatly today. I might spend half of the day crying.
