The question is, who defines what a place of worship is?
I could call anything a place of worship.
I think the point that K1d is trying to make is that by attaching religion to something somehow makes it above anything else.
When you really break it down its about politics and how much pressure you can apply. The Catholic Anti-Defamation League has the political power to force the issue and therefore can make it into a much larger problem with more dire consequences.
Religion, power, and politics all go hand and hand. Don't let anyone fool you that there is not a very real NON-seperation of church and state.
