First, let me say I found my calling, and I love my job. Figured it out while in High School, decided on a career in public service, found a good niche thanks to my first government job, worked my way up the ladder to a specialist position, and have had a pretty good time doing the day-to-day work.
Now, the fucked up part-I have found that in order to do my job, I have to deal with managers who have never done my job, or who have done the job poorly. I have to work around a set of regulations set forth by people who never did my job, and for the most part, had a different job and world view in mind when they wrote said regulations. And I never seem to get a good answer from said management when said regulations seem to contradict themselves!N ARRRRGH!!!!!! :crackhead:
Other than that, I love my job...
However, I am seeking other opportunities on the "I can always say no" idea. It's a big world out there, and I like to travel.
