I honestly do not care about the sniper, I mean I feel bad for the victims and families but honestly I don't care. Maybe it is cause of the shit I seen and been through growing up, but I don't like ooh and ah and weep for stuff like this. Unless it involves my friends or family, I can't give a shit about every little thing, I'd spend my life in grief. I understand how and why others care and worry, I honestly don't give a fuck.
I really wasn't as struck by what happened by 9/11 till many months later. I was on the bridge and there was traffic. The sun was setting and I saw that gaping hole where the towers were at that moment I actually cried for the 1st time over what happened. I was upset and pissed but honestly I wasn't really as devestated as many others were.
For one reason, americans are very fickle people. They tend to forget a move on too quickly. Not that you shouldn't move on from such a tragedy but people fuckin forget. People started complaining about waits at the airports in a matter of weeks and all that shit. The whole banning of movies and songs, was idiotic to me.
They ban NY State of Mind on the air, yet Billy Joel plays it a couple weeks later at a benefit concert for NY.
I'll never forget what happened, but sadly too many americans do. It's as if they live their lives in small intervals at a time, once a set of time goes by they seem to erase what happened, in their minds.
