I think it's foolish to vote for somebody/something I know nothing about. And even more foolish to spend the time and energy to learn about them.
What exactly can a Governor, Lieutenant Governor, State Treasurer, County Clerk, County Treasurer, District Court Judge, State Controller, etc.. do to make my life better? Can they find me a good apartment? Help me put together a nice gaming PC? Teach me how to burn PS2 games? Lower the price of DVD burners? Get me a raise at work? Lower my car insurance? Speed up my internet connection at no extra cost? Motivate me to do my laundry?
These are the things which are currently relevant in my life. Which is why today, for the most part, has no relevance to me.
That said, I did vote this year. For this and only this. Because it's the only thing on the ballot in the least bit relevant to me and to my life.
