there's no reason why kids shouldn't learn about creationalism. its part of biological history. people should know why other people believe/believed in it. and just the same way they should watch how they word the ideas behind creationalism, they should watch how they word the ideas behind evolution.
things in the mid 1900s that were aimed at kids about dinosaurs were presented as absolute fact, and some of it has already been disproven. 50 years from now things we look at as absolute fact today will be disproven.
