so then the phrase "creationism is a judeo-christian belief" is not a true statement since other religions, in fact the vast majority of religions believe in a creator.

creationism is a theory (that is foolish and illogical) that many people believe. The fact that there has yet to be any concrete proof along the lines of missing links that supports the evolution theory that Humans evolved from apes who evolved from single cell organisms means that it is another theory that could potentially be true.

Just because many religious people believe it doesn't mean that the state is sponsoring religion by teaching it.

It's another theory that at least has some possibility of being true and there's no reason why students shouldn't be exposed to both.

The people who say that creationism shouldn't be taught in schools are just as wrong (and almost as ignorant) as the ones who say that evolution shouldn't be tought
