It seems to me that I'm pretty much the only woman in the office that wasn't hired in an administrative position, so they're not complaining because it's almost an extension of their job description.
In the interview I was completely candid about the kind of position I wanted and specifically stated that I did not want to be a secretary or anyone's "assistant." So, it just seems insulting and presumptuous that I would automatically want to clean a kitchen or cover the phones just because I'm a girl.
