I've seen the same plot on an episode of that Submarine show with the cop from Jaws as the captain (I can't for the life of me remember the name of the damn thing)

That would be SeaQuest DSV.

Ender was written 25 years ago. Guess who ripped of who. I've seen tons of good plots stolen by tv shows and just done badly.

And Seaquest DSV also had the guy who played Joxer in Xena and was the assistant editor to Jonah Jameson in Spiderman (Ted Rami, brother of Sam Rami the director of Spiderman.)
