That's a typical McClaren hit. He always does that swing around and hit the guy with his ass. But right as he was doing it, Zednick cut in front. I'm guessing that McClaren just stuck his arm up as instinct, since MCClaren has never been known as a tough guy. Never gets in fights, starts trouble, etc.
