New Eminem CD Encore - is amazing

You can NOT in any way compare his other 3 albums to this. His 2nd album was his best in my opinion, it was just classic, song after song. Some were funny, some were silly, some were club tunes, some were very deep and serious and some were psychotic, it was an awesome balance. His first major release the slim shady lp was also great, the lyrics were what we would grow to love him for, the wordplay the speed he raps at, the content, etc. His last album was great too, it had a nice mix of songs.

This album the first 5 tracks or so I would say are a regular eminem album, the songs are good, a couple are great. Once you get past that it becomes a very sloppy mix of songs, the delivery with which he raps is just fuckin sloppy and lazy, the beats are simple and repetitive. Then there are several songs which you'd basically expect some suburban white kid who got drunk one night and as a joke laid down a track who has not one shred of talent.

If you don't have anything good to put down on an album then wait, if it takes 5 years then wait 5 years, don't just put out something to put it out. Ofcourse there's gonna be tone deaf, tasteless kids who are gonna find someway to find genius in this album, they'll argue that his sloppy delivery and bullshit lyrics were his way of expressing his... bullshit!!! The album sucks, i'm not turning around and saying Eminem is a talentless flash in the pan, he's proven himself in both solo and group projects that he's among the best of all time, his legacy is secure.

But as a fan I also will say when he puts out shit, you can't just say dig shit when its shit.
