i'll be honest with you. i have both systems and the XBOX does seem to be a much better assembled product. sony just seems to churn them out in order to supply the demand but hey, i'm hooked.
as for the XBOX, granted it is a more powerful system but you have to purchase the DVD playback peripheral, you can just take it out of the box and watch a DVD on it without having purchased the DVD thingamabobber.
i know that some people swear by the XBOX but right now mine is collecting dust.
