i've posted this before, but,
when my niece was 6 i think, we went to florida and she asked me "are we still in america, i don't want to leave america since this is the only country thats free"
apparently her teacher told her that. thats the only weird thing i've ever heard from her though

I had a teacher tell us one time that if we didn't do our homework that we'd have some small insect dropped into our ears and it would eat away our brains and we'd die. This was like 2nd grade, she got replaced mid-year for some reason. It might have been the time when she said that we'd all be taken from our parents and put into slave camps if we didn't have perfect attendance.

the original series was ok but after the bastardized 97 different shows that followed along with horrible movies, it's lost any interest.

next gen was good, or got really good after 2 years but was rushed off the air to make movies 'cause Kirk & company were getting way too old.
DS9 was the best of the new-era series, and still holds up to this day, it was darker and much grittier. And characters actually died!
Voyager sucked. The end.
Enterprise was a really good idea that didn't happen until the last season, which by then noone really gave a fuck anymore.
