it's common knowledge how awful country is so putting it on the list would be pointless cause everyone knows. Naturally blender probably thinks rap sucks too but they listed master p, there's dozens of other rappers much worse.
Plus 95% of people wouldn't even know the majority of country singers.

Don’t argue with success. Half-year country music sales are surging and there’s nothing wrong with taking a moment to appreciate a job well done. At the halfway point, country sales YTD are ahead 17.8% over last year, slightly passing the 36 million unit mark compared with only 30.56 million units scanned at this time last year. The gain looks especially impressive when viewed next to a 4.2% drop in overall music industry sales. Based upon the above numbers (compiled by Nielsen Soundscan, a division of Nielsen entertainment, LLC.), country music market share has currently climbed from 10.8% at this time last year to a very healthy 13.3%.
Just because we live in a market without a country radio station don't be ignorant to think that the rest of the country is like this city. There is a reason why carrie underwood sold 4 Million CDs in her debut effort and it's not because no one knows her

hicks outnumber us, its a sad state of affairs, hence the popularity of nascar, country music and bush winning the presidency twice.
doesn't make any of these things right or good.
also if we're gonna judge on sales and numbers, didnt nysnc sell like 2 million albums their opening week? Im sure boy bands outsell majority of actualy musical artists, so numbers mean shit.

never underestimate the bad taste of the american public
britney spears, 98 degrees, backstreet boys, and countless other awful bands have sold millions of records.
lots of people think watching a car going around an oval track hundreds of times is super cool too.

my numbers quotation was to refute your "95% of people" comment. and bush became president because people thought he'd be a glimpse of his father, and they were wrong and was re-elected because kerry was portrayed as a flip-flopping baffoon and people bought it. In 3 years when the person everyone and their mother ridiculed when her husband was in office becomes president, everyone can tell us how lucky we are

thats why there are so many different things in the world, because if we all like the same thing, It would be a pretty vanilla world

they only included one boy band too, 98 degrees.
Im sure nsync and new kids coulda made the list but it'd just be treading the same ground. You can pick on genre within a genre and make a top 50 list.
I'm sure pretty much everyone can agree that Milli vanilli is deserving to be on the list but just cause they arent, doesnt make them good or not awful.
#38 shoulda just been for every country singer not named Cash or Nelson.

so the other rappers you posted in the music thread, you didn't actually think were any good? a tribe called quest for instance.
i happen to think a majority of rap past the late 90s sucks, so i'll agree with you there.

In Faceman's defense, whenever country bands come to New York, they sell out multiple shows, and this w/o a country music station.
I'M HERE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ART OF BULLSHIT.

actually I was disputing gonzo's comment about the 95%. I could care less if you think the music is crap or not.

I love him. He's like those happy old people who become known for sitting by the side of a busy street and waving to passing cars. People drive by regularly and beep just to see him and get him to wave to them.
That's just like our Arpi... except he doesn't wave or anything. He just says mean things to you.
