I fear slipping on the ice also, not so much falling but slipping and causing my knee to pop out - the pain is impossible to describe.

I've always been weary of escalators. I wouldn't say it's a fear, since I use them instead of stairs whenever possible. But every time I go down one it's always in the back of my head how fucked I'd be if I fell. Falling down a flight of stairs is one thing, but we're talking about stainless fucking steel!
