man that is one ugly car. It's cool that it's basically a de-tuned cayenne, but the front fascia leaves a lot to be desired.

Japs make a better product, IMO.

pathfinder.
i had 2 pathfinders, back to back leases. i loved my first one so much, i leased another brand new fully loaded one right after the lease was up on my older model base model that had less options.

The Pathfinder is a contender, I don't need a fully loaded ride, tho - my main concern is safety. All those extra options drive up the price an all of these SUV's - and while heated seats sounds nice, I don't think I really need that.
Once I get my tax rebate, I'm gonna go out and do some test drives - hopefully by the summer I'll have a new ride.

Pathfinder:
reliability - excellent
satisfaction - good
depreciation - good
"...while it has unibody construction, it doesn't feel as contemporary as some newer unibody SUVs. Cargo room and rear-seat accommodations are relatively skimpy. The ride is tolerable but deteriorates quickly with passengers and cargo onboard."
Got excellent results for side crash tests.

Fucking Americans They ain't my "boys". Fight the man's war and you may just die for the man.
I'm not completely heartless, though. One of my co-workers lost his brother last month in Iraq. I understand how close to home it can hit. But, if you think that the war is truly over oil, you are sadly mistaken and should have your voting privilege revoked.
As far as SUVs...

I like driving it, but I'm glad it's a lease. Runs strong. Horrible on gas. Gobs of power. Rides like a truck. Strong like a truck.

i got a 2003 pathfinder over the summer, and i love it! it rides really well, but it eats gas pretty quickly, my dad has a jeep cherokee, and i can't stand driving his car. my brotehr has an explorer, which rides well, but i'd ratehr the pathfinder.

Strong like a truck. um yeah, i drive a durango. bought it new in 98. i love my truck. it's so rough all blacked out with no labels, guards on the front & rear bumpers, big ass michelin tires with the white on the outside. holds everything & everyone that i need it to, but it's a giant piece of poop. it's had sooo many problems. it'd got over 100,000 on it. & i think i'm gonna run it into the ground. it's such a headache. but its my headache & i can't seem to part with it or think of owning anything else. except for maybe the g class. but i think i have to wait til i have that little "dr." in front of my name for that one. until then, the bitch will have to do. & the new ones are fucking ugly as hell. i really hate what they did to it.

To be fair, if I didn't want the 3rd row seat, I wouldn't have gone with the Durango. But I needed it and that narrowed the choices down to the Durango, an Exploder, or a Highlander (which I maintain is fucking expensive).
Taking lack of motivation to a whole new level.

The Highlander well equipped goes for around $27,000 - the Explorer comparably equipped goes for at least $30,000.
How is the Highlander expensive again?
I've been using Edmunds.com for a lot of my research, as well as Consumer reports - and both sources mention the Highlander being an affordable choice of foreign SUV (as well as reliable).
