Pedro won't be on the Red Sox next year. They offered him $25 million for two years. Someone like the Dodgers, Yankees, or Angels will offer him something like 4 years for $60-$70 million and grossly overpay for a guy who can't pitch more than 7 innings

7 innings is pleanty in Baseball...set up the 8th close out the 9th. If the Yankees could have pitched 7 in games 4 - 7 they might have won.

Well, if Jeter was gonna win the Gold Glove, this was the year to do it. His team signs the previous GG SS and makes him play 3rd base, and Nomar gets shipped to the NL. Thinned out the competition.
