Speaking of which, you can tell that Pizza Hut is authentic Italian food, using an African-American spokesperson. At least Olive Garden TRIES to look legit.
The "P'Zone" scares me. Best chain pizza: Papa John's.

Why get any chain pizza when there are so many good independent pizza places around? Doesn't seem logical. Manhattan has at least 2 good pizza places on every block.

The best pizza is Bertucci's. Hands down, no comparison. Best pizza franchise out there. Brick Oven Pizza. Fucking sweet.
Papa Gino's in a close second as their Cheese pizza is amazing, yet their toppings are kind of assy. Bertuccis Pollomatch (Bar-B-Q chicken) is worth murdering for, and the Marego (chicken and pepper) is also quite tasty. Top if off with their fresh rolls, and you got yourself a carb-loaders fantasy.

i get my pizza from a little hole in the wall on the corner, but as far as chains go, i really miss papa john's. i didn't know they even had them up here. i liked it for the peppers and dippy sauce

Bensonhurst. Theres nothing else like L&B. There are some amazing places to get italian food down in Little Italy of course but L&B is a true gem in Brooklyn for casual pizzaria style food. The sicilian slices are like no other. The place is a 62-year-old landmark. They're famous for their square pie (light, crunchy crust with a bare minimum of mozzarella cheese under a layer of tomato sauce) Try a paper cup of the house spumoni. Its been described as American Graffiti meets GoodFellas.
