I watched War of the Worlds last night. While it was campy in places, the scene in the basement when the "snake" is looking for them was intense.

I hate when I just miss a call by the last ring (Hello? Hello? Darnit!), but when I immediately call back, it rings nine times and goes to voicemail. What'd you do after I didn't answer? Drop the phone and run away?

It rings that many times because they are listening to your outgoing e-mail message and possibly leaving you a message.

Not in my experience but it may depend on the carrier.

I really hate it when there's "that guy" at an event who has to try to crack jokes at everything. There's one of "those guys" at my new job orientation. Sure am glad tomorrow is the last time I have to see him.
